Gareth Fergus is the Chief Operating Officer at Trimax Mowing Systems. guiding the supply, and manufacture of Trimax products across sites globally.

Bob Sievwright founded Trimax by consolidating 3 companies during the growth of the Kiwi industry in BOP Tauranga. Today Trimax is an award winner, with manufacturing facilities in New Zealand, Australia, United Kingdom and the United States, with 33,000 mower decks sold worldwide. Trimax is now a global leader in commercial mowing systems operating in 40 countries with 206 employees. A sustainable company with 91% of its product being exported, 45% sold through dealers, and >25% Annual Reoccurring returns (ARR).

Its success is due to the innovative mix of engineering and customer relationship development. With a face-to-face approach in diverse areas: golf courses, turf/sod farmers, municipal contractors, school sports fields, horticulture/viticulture, and lifestyle estates, creating long-term customer relationships.

The ‘Snake’ mowing product is both versatile and able to cope with uneven ground and small obstacles such as prunings & small rubbish – a groundbreaking product.
Harnessing AI, ChatGPT & CoPliot, Robotics (manufacturing) has allowed for fast growth by assisting with internal systems and future designs which utilise ‘autonomous’ machinery – tractors with brains!
